Tell us a bit about yourself! 

My name is Brittany Dowdy and I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with my first – a girl! I am originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area but currently live in Kansas. My husband is in the Army and has been for the last 11 years. He is deploying at the beginning of 2019 so I’ll be moving back to Texas then. I currently work from home as a project manager in the banking industry.

Why do you love Baby2Body, and what role has it played in your mama-hood journey?

I was really active before I found out I was pregnant, and what I fueled my body with was important to me. I knew I wanted to maintain both my mental and physical health during my pregnancy, as I knew it would make a huge difference in my pregnancy and postpartum experiences. Although I knew this going in, staying motivated and focused on it was much easier said than done. Pregnancy is exhausting some days, but having Baby2Body help guide you along the way is so helpful. My only wish is that I would have found it sooner!Brittany 1.jpg

Why have you chosen to become a Baby2Body Ambassador?

I feel that maintaining my mental and physical wellbeing has helped so much with my pregnancy, and having it in this easy to use and follow app is something that all expecting mommies can benefit from. There is SO much helpful information on the app that I want everyone to know about it! I believe in the program and want every woman going through this journey to have access to it.

What’s been the hardest part of your pregnancy?

Brittany 3.jpgFiguring out how to navigate my day with little energy. I am typically a very high energy person, and there are many days where all I want to do is lay on the couch and watch tv. I have had to find ways to motivate myself to get up and get things done, but also realize the importance of rest! It is not only okay to rest, but it is important to! You are growing a human!! Plus, you need to take advantage of resting while you can.

What’s your favorite type of workout?

I enjoy full body, high intensity workouts!

How do you relax and unwind?

I have really learned to enjoy a bath during pregnancy. It is really relaxing and feels great on everything that is moving and changing.
